Having worked on the remarkable Okami and the OTT fighter God Hand, the Capcom-funded Clover Studio shut its doors, with many - including Shinji ‘Resident Evil’ Mikami and Masami Ueda (composer of Resident Evil and Viewtiful Joe) - going on to form SEEDS.
That was just six months ago but today SEEDS has also hit the rocks, with news from Japan that the outfit is to merge with ‘ODD’ to form the rather bling-sounding ‘Platinum Games’.
The SEEDS website confirmed that the name change will take effect from October 1st, though the studio is yet to reveal the identity of any projects in the works.
Two forum threads in the official Xbox site and Bungie.net have revealed that hundreds of gamers are having serious problems with their copy of Halo 3.
Gamers who played Halo 3 on their console and decided to finish the fight in a friend’s Xbox 360 got a nasty surprise. There is a bug that stops you from transfer campaign progress to another Xbox 360 console whether you use a memory unit or take your hard drive. But once the dust settled, Halo 2 dominated the Xbox Live multiplayer top spot for two years until Epic Games, Marcus Fenix, and those Gears of War toppled the Chief and Microsoft Game Studios’ talisman last November.
